Announcement    Alita, the designer behind Ex Voto, began creating costumes and experimental millinery in 2000 while assisting Andre Leon Talley at VOGUE. On joining Etsy in 2006, she began designing full-time to meet demand, and supplying boutiques in Japan, Australia, and Brooklyn with her original pieces under the name Charm School Design. She opened a brick and mortar shop called Ex Voto in New Orleans in 2014 in partnership with Howlpop. Today she works as Artistic Director of a nonprofit in San Francisco, while collecting rare and exciting vintage, and making sculptural jewelry and other accessories.

She focuses on natural and reclaimed materials in creating one of a kind items that are impossible to replicate.
